The Birmingham Alabama Zoo was built in the 1950's in a park originally built by the WPA during the 1930's. The zoo reflects the era in which it was built. It is heavily wooded creating very pleasant scenery. In some of the exhibits you could see the predator and the prey in the same view. On the picture above you can see the Lion on the rock and the Antelope in the grass to the left of the rock.
